This game is being played at the inconvenient 00:40am, SA time, which is not to say that I won’t watch, more that I will miss Midnight Hot on Fashion TV reading er… books
Ahh the home games. Back in the Mzansi hood and no mistake. Let’s all sit back and enjoy the comforts of this great land, (hopefully) clear skies and Cape hospitality. Gatsbys and beers, get in my face! This Saturday the Springboks take on the Wallabies at Newlands and I am going! Aww yis!
Recently Manu Tuilagi was forced to apologise after giving British Prime Minister, David Cameron, “bunny ears” in a photo with the rest of the victorious British & Irish Lions squad. Classic
Tricky team to compile this week. Although the All Blacks mostly impressed and the Bokke mostly dissapointed, having a mismatch of 14 against 15 for 40 minutes of a Test will do that to the respective sides. Thanks very much Romain Poite!
This may or may not have something to do with Romain Poite’s weekend performance, just saying
Happy Friday! With all the excitement and anticipation of the All Blacks vs Springboks game I very nearly forgot to do a preview for the Wallabies vs Pumas. My humble apologies, especially to the 5 Australian people who read this blog
Round 4 of the Rugby Championship 2013…set excitement levels to FiretrUCKING Awesome! This is the big one, number 1 vs number 2, the All Blacks vs the Springboks in a top of the table clash. Bring. The. Noise. The Bokke head into this fixture in good form and with a fair dollop of winning momentum, not to mention being chock a block full of confidence but will they be able to beat the World Champs and current Rugby Championship title holders in Auckland
Awww yis! Round 3 done and dusted and things worked out like I had hoped and prayed predicted they would as the Bokke beat the Wallabies and the All Blacks beat the Pumas but without the four try bonus point. Of course, not expected or even dreamed of was the Bokke securing a four try bonus point of their own and smashing records aplenty in the process by destroying the Wallabies in Brisbane. Hoodoo venues be damned! Put that in your pipe, pack it down, light it up and breathe in deep. Smoooooth
There has been a lot of talk about Zane Kirchner this week. Maybe too much talk. He is not a bad player. He is… Kirchner, Zane Kirchner! Casual references to ‘Sunday Bloody Sunday’ aside, there really has been far too much vitriol spat at the Bok fullback this week
…aaand we’re back. Round 3 of the Rugby Championship and it is already looking like a two horse race between the Bokke and the All blacks. The Pumas are third and the Wallabies are at the bottom of the table after once again failing to win back the Bledisloe Cup.
