Ahh knock out rugby, a time where Super Rugby sides play with a Test Rugby influence, with tight defense and mistake minimization at a premium. Mistake minimization? Is that a phrase? I am gonna leave it in, sounds professional

There are four games on Saturday, the last one being a vital Stormers vs Sharks situash and by the end of it we will finally know who our top 6 are. What do I reckon the final standings will be? You ask
Yes, it has finally arrived… the last round. What?! No ways, make mine a triple Johnny Walker Black!
Two rounds left before the play-offs. Two rounds to make or break a season. Two rounds to make sure of a spot in the play-offs. Two rounds to secure a home semi-final or if you are the Cheetahs, two rounds to try to not finish last.
Is it just me or does it feel like Super Rugby was aaages ago? I have been so wrapped up in the June Internationals that I all but forgot that we have three rounds of regular games before the play-offs. Aww yis!
Four more games this Saturday and all of them will have an impact on the tighter than tight combined log. Sheer fried exciting times ahead and no mistake. In particular make sure you catch the Blues vs Hurricanes and Sharks vs Stormers games. Both should be crackers.
So it must be said that last weekend’s action adventures were of the highest quality. Massive Maverick’s thumbs up to the Kiwi sides especially. The Highlanders vs Crusaders and Hurricanes vs Chiefs games were the best I have seen in Super Rugby 2014 and it is situations like this that make this competition the best in the world. Boom, there I said it
Before we crack on to Saturday’s Super Rugby action adventures. Lets take a wee look at the Springbok squad to face the World XV and then Wales and Scotland in the Incoming Tours
Red cards, yellow cards, penalty tries, TMOs demanding referees send players off. What the firetruck is going on? It is a case of Too Much Officiating (see what I did there?) or is this something we need to get used to in rugby from now on? My biggest gripe is that refs are very reluctant to award tries as and when they happen, even when they are 1 metre away from the action. They are seemingly too scared to make a mistake and their first reaction is to refer the whole situation to the TMO. It is happening in every game and means the players and fans alike have to bottle their excitement at tries scored until multiple replays have occurred
What do you do when you’re losing your games? Does it worry you to drop more points? How does it feel at the end of the day? Something, something that rhymes with points. No, I get by with a little help from my friends Oh hope they score tries, I’m still talking bout my friends We’re gonna try with a little help from my friends Lyrics by Rennton
